In April 2011, New York City Human Resources Adminstration (NYC HRA) awarded HSI a 100-unit Scatter Site I Program for individuals and families living with special needs consisting of 60 housing units in upper Manhattan and 40 units in the Bronx in privately owned buildings.

The program serves 75 single adults and 25 families - a fourfold increase from HSI's historic 20 unit Scatter Site program (1994) - allowing us to serve more, including the growing number of families in emergency shelters and temporary housing in NYC.
